How do you feel when you can know that something has happened and you were involved in it but somehow can't recall any of the incidents? Something which is very much important and you are desperate to know everything, to remember everything but you just can't and then suddenly everything becomes clear and your life changes.


One of the best psychological thrillers to be penned. Deals with powerful themes all the while weaving the story into a heart-stopping tale of obsession and madness. You can't help but get reeled into the chaos of it all, questioning yourself at times of who is what, and whether everything is as it is. The girl on the train by Paula Hawkins is such a book that will blow your mind and take all your attention.

The story is about a woman named Rachel who is an alcoholic which consequently leads to blackout of memories. Everyday she boards the same train to London and through the window she watches other people and wonders about their life. She is mostly attracted towards the couple living in house number 15 which is just a few house away from her ex husband where she used to live. She keeps on wondering about their life until it becomes an obsession. Her life was becoming worse until that Saturday night arrived- a shocking incident happened which shacked her everything. A very important incident which she, due her excessive consumption of alcohol, couldn't remember. If you want to work-up your mind then just start reading it.
